...there's always somewhere that seems somehow magical...

...behind 'pam's store' in tilba tilba there is the start of a fabulous walking track through a beautiful private property that the kind young couple-owners allow strollers to pass through up the 5km path to a picnic spot in the gulaga mountain area...

...was on the way to somewhere else...

when a billow of white smokes in the distance caught our view...sped towards it...we should be driving away from it if that ominous stack happened to be a bushfire...my travelling companion and I were curious to see the actual flames and we turned into a dirt road towards someplace called nethercote, worried about the wildlife that might be threatened right there among them aflame valleys...stopped on a vantage hillock in a private property with a 'for sale' sign...it was a spectacular burn-off after all thank goodness...

...possibilities of bushfires down here at the coast implore me to re-evaluate my entire life...
thank the rural fire service, most often than not they are burn-offs to minimise those...

...rippling uphill

...local lore says that this wandella creek which flows serenely through lena & harry's home ground is quite unique...it meanders inland and northward unlike other streams...the locals swear that it eventually meets the minutely mighty tuross river...

...setting up the screen for the night's showing of a documentary in the bush about a german, chris strachwitz, who came to america, fell in love with and collected roots music: blues, folk, cajun, zydeco... with delicious food brought in by everyone from around the bega valley, a beautiful moonlit night was had... thanks to the warmth of all especially to the wonderful hosts, lena & harry...

the cinema is a nice old school way of watching a movie and I still love it...who doesn't... 'the kinema' in narooma is a family-run movie house...the only film theatre operating anywhere between batemans bay and merimbula... for 'shaun the sheep movie' the program says: bookings advisable...but there was only one other family of four in the auditorium...

...on the way out, the owner wishing goodbye at the front door, very nice of her to enquire: 'did you enjoy shaun the sheep?'
...yes I did, thank you

...yesterday after booking to see a movie at  the kinema in moruya, I walked across the street into the pub with the million dollar view of the narooma river and the pacific ocean ...the barstaff disappeared then came back with a familiar looking black item

...she said, 'I think you dropped this yesterday'...I didn't even realised I've lost that favourite beanie and I'm hardly what you'd call a regular at the tavern...

...when we can see amazing beauty even in a cloud passing under moonlit stars my friend...that is a 'thanks to you' moment and remains so, easily retrievable whenever a little smile or an extra boost of inspiration is needed...
